Sunday 14th August – walk *** Around Felixstowe – sunny periods

Had a lazy morning watching the Olympics’ – what a top team after all I said at the start when they got off to a slow start but an amazing weekend – Golds from everywhere:)
Then Mag fancied a walk so we headed down to the prom which was not too busy as it was hot but mainly cloudy and turned left to Jacobs Ladder. At the end of the prom with the tide down we walked along the beach and picked up a little coal – it’s not really a summer pass time as you need some storms to stir it up! We passed The Dip and up the steeps to Ferry Road to the lovely woods at The Grove and home – it was only 5 miles but we were exhausted!

Monday 15th August – bike **** Around Felixstowe – sunny

With no work for me this week and Mags last day of childminding for a couple of week it was up at 7 and out on the bikes. Down to hill to the prom turning right to the River Orwell at Landguard, beautiful as usual in the early morning with the sun sparkling off the sea:) Then back with Mag heading home at Bent Hill while I continued to Felixstowe Ferry, stopping by the Deben river mouth to watch the yachts. Then it was Ferry Road, The Grove and home, a lovely 12 miles in the sun and the next week is looking promising for wind so hope to get out on the board a few times:)
